On the ground
Late September into early October is cool and changeable. Expect roughly 9–15°C in Copenhagen and a few degrees cooler in Stockholm, short days that shorten fast (sunset slips from about 7 pm toward 6), and a real chance of rain on any given day.
Pack in layers around a warm mid-layer, with a waterproof jacket and comfortable, water-resistant shoes for cobblestones, warehouse floors, and archipelago decks. Add a scarf and a compact umbrella; evenings by the water run noticeably colder. And for the shops: bring a tape measure and your room dimensions.
